More Than a Game

Get ready for March Mania ’27—The Austin Foundation’s signature community basketball experience bringing together competition, financial empowerment, leadership, and community connection in the heart of Detroit.

On Saturday, March 13, 2027, March Mania returns with another high-energy experience designed to give young people opportunities to compete, connect, learn, and grow—on and beyond the court.

March Mania was built on a simple idea: sports can open the door to so much more.

Throughout the event, participants will experience competitive basketball alongside opportunities to strengthen real-world skills, explore financial decision-making, build confidence, and connect with resources and people invested in their future.

Where Competition Meets Opportunity

The energy starts on the court, but the impact goes beyond the final score.

March Mania creates a space where young people can showcase their talent while developing the skills that help turn opportunity into long-term success. Through basketball, financial literacy, leadership experiences, and community engagement, participants are encouraged to think strategically about their goals, their resources, and what they want to build next.

Whether you’re competing, cheering from the sidelines, supporting the mission, or investing as a community partner, there’s a place for you at March Mania ’27.
