The Austin Foundation has officially been enrolled in the Kroger Community Rewards Program and that means every time our community shops at Kroger, they can now give back to our mission at no extra cost.
This is a simple, powerful way for friends, families, and supporters to make a difference in the lives of Southeast Michigan youth just by doing their everyday grocery shopping.
A Little Piece of Home
For our family, Kroger has always been more than a grocery store.
Our grandparents were regulars. Kroger was part of their rhythm, a place they returned to week after week, season after season. To this day, when we visit Kroger, we still use their phone number at checkout. It is a small habit that carries a lot of heart. Those grocery runs are some of our most cherished memories. Walking the aisles, watching them pick out what they needed, feeling the warmth of something as simple and sacred as taking care of your family.
So when we learned that The Austin Foundation could be part of the Kroger Community Rewards Program, it meant more to us than we expected. It is a full-circle moment, a chance to honor those memories while continuing to build something meaningful for the next generation right here in Detroit.
How It Works
The Kroger Community Rewards Program is designed to make giving back effortless. Once you link your Kroger rewards card to The Austin Foundation, a portion of every eligible purchase is directed back to our organization automatically, every time you swipe.
No extra steps at checkout. No additional costs. Just your regular shopping doing more good.
How to Sign Up
Getting started takes just a few minutes:
Visit kroger.com and log in to your Kroger account. If you do not have an account, you can create one for free using a valid email address and your Kroger rewards card.
Search for The Austin Foundation by name or by our NPO number: FT617.
Click Enroll to link your card to our organization.
That's it. From that point forward, your purchases will count toward supporting our programs and the young people we serve.
Don't have a Kroger rewards card yet? No problem. Free rewards cards are available at the customer service desk at any Kroger location.
Important reminder: Purchases will not count for The Austin Foundation until after you complete enrollment. Make sure to swipe your registered rewards card — or use the phone number linked to your account — every time you shop.
